9/3/2023 0 Comments Knald vs pixplantI’ve tried a couple other programs such as Photosculpt Textures that allows you to use multiple images to calculate the height map from multiple angles or from multiple lighting conditions, which seem to work fairly well, but starts to become a lot more work than it probably should for photographing textures, and becomes more like scanning objects. I know there really isn’t any software that can create a truly accurate height map from one photo because I believe its mathematically impossible to do so without more data to calculate from. However I don’t really care for the UI much. Of the apps that I’ve tried, Crazybump seems decent if you have the frequency setting tweaked right. To start this off, we will search perfect reference images which will give us a good base for this, and after a little intro to PixPlant and the process of making the texture tileable, we will use Bitmap2Material which is another powerful program used to create textures on the fly. For larger frequency details, such as with cobblestones and wall reliefs, you can tell that the elevation is all wrong. Some seem to be better than others, and depending on your texture, all you might need is a grayscale image. I know there are lots of options out now to choose from such as Knald, Crazybump, Pixplant, and Shadermap, and they all seem to have a lot of options for converting and creating various textures, but a lot of them seem to just convert the photo to grayscale and do some blurring to get the initial height map from a photo. Knald is the worlds first high-quality 3D texturing software based on. I was curious if anyone has any opinions on what normal map software has the most accurate algorithm for generating height / normal maps from single photos. v5.0, v3.0 PixPlant Quickly create seamless 3D textures and maps from photos. 9/3/2023 0 Comments Evernote notational velocityI do weekly fully bootable cloned backups but my last one was 5 days prior to this crash. For example, my last laptop crashed, probably the logic board gone bad. I like having this information stored in the cloud from a security and data retention perspective. Virtually every app on my phone or laptop can directly create notes in Evernote. Much easier to get information into this database. Theirs hasn’t been updated in any meaningful way in over 10 years, and it was ugly back then. I like Evernote’s interface WAY more than DevonThink’s. If I’m sitting somewhere in a waiting room and want to review a cool anatomy article I captured, or chew through my to-read list, or was talking at dinner with a friend and wanted to share a fascinating article I found, or I’m on a website on my phone and want to immediately capture it into my database, Evernote makes all of that really easy. I wanted access to my database both on my laptop and on my iPhone. Why did I make the switch? A few reasons: If you haven’t yet jumped on the text expansion train, it’s time.I used DevonThink Pro Office for years and about a year ago switched to Evernote for all my information repository needs and have been very happy with that switch. We love aText because it offers so many great features and only costs $5. You type a small word or combination of characters and it’ll expand into full, complex sentences that you often use. Text expansion, also known as typing shortcuts, can save you hours of typing each day. Some might prefer the simple comforts of previously-mentioned Notational Velocity, but it all depends on your needs and how you like to work. It’s powerful and feature rich for some, daunting and overwhelming for others. You can use it to keep notes, make to-do lists, create reminders, make a recipe book, save travel plans and itineraries, and pretty much anything else you can think of. Once you get the hang of it, it can be extremely powerful. However, if you want to go right to the source, Simplenote’s Mac app has come a long long way since we last looked it over, and is worth your attention if you’re just syncing there anyway (or use Simplenote’s mobile apps.) If Notational Velocity is too much for you, consider the lighter alternative, NVAlt, which includes tons of additional features. It syncs with other services (namely Simplenote or Dropbox) and is still one of our favorite syncing note-takers. It has just the right number of features required to help you take quick notes and get back to them later, without a whole bunch of fluff or other bloat that you don’t need. Notational Velocity has earned its massive fan-following. Mac: Alfred 2 is a fantastic way to automate your tasks and launch apps on your Mac If you’re a Spotlight die-hard, at least take steps to protect your privacy, then amp up Spotlight’s features with Flashlight. Of course, its rival, Quicksilver, is still available, and still great. Once you’re familiar with it, check out this massive list of workflows you can automate with Alfred. If you’re new to Alfred, this beginner’s guide to using it-and all of its hidden features-is worth a look, and will probably be enough reason for you to download it on its own. In this year’s annual Lifehacker Pack for Mac, we’re highlighting the best downloads for better productivity, communication, media management, and more.Īlfred is still our favorite application launcher for Mac, even though Spotlight has gotten some love in Yosemite (and again in El Capitan.) It’s free and worth a download on its own, but if you have the itch to do some automation and serious tweaking, the $27 Powerpack is worth every penny. There’s no shortage of useful, interesting apps for the Mac, but some of them you just can’t live without. While some elements are easy to push like fixing canonical tag issues, others I have to throw out an estimate and see if they would bite. I have to do this with my clients all the time whenever there are technical things I present. Since this above example can be difficult to calculate, you can throw a conservative estimate saying a 1% increase in revenue if we do this 301 redirect and tie that back into the amount of work it would take to implement to see if it is worth your time. If traffic grew b/c of the 301 redirect pointing more signals to these pages, you can tie it back to that optimization, You can take a screenshot in Ahrefs showing what the URL rating is before the 301 and then show what it changes to after a month or two. For example, you may have thousands of 302 redirects all going to a few core pages on your site. Instead of focusing on the many technical issues that can be wrong with a site, you should present the ROI if you solve these technical issues. Many issues will never be present in Search Console like having a mobile pop up that restricts SEO growth, JavaScript that can't be rendered properly, redirect chains, and more. Search Console is not the end all be all SEO platform. For now, I know that they use Bright Edge, and I would think Screaming Frog as well. When it finishes check if the issue persist. Run the troubleshooter, and select any problems that apply. Under Find and fix other problems, select Search and Indexing. I am going to ask what the tools was that they used to find this long list of 302s, for sure. Let's try to Run the Search and Indexing troubleshooter 1. But let's ignore the other engines for right now. Granted, there is more out there than Google. So my question, first posed by my development agency, is if problems like these don't get reported in Google Search Console, do these problems, in fact, exist, or are they more or a kind of false positive? But I can tell you that I looked in our Search console, and there is no indication in there of a 302 vs. I have on the other hand my development agency (a contract which I played no role in) telling me let's look in Google Search Console to know more. I have on one hand some SEO auditing agency (a contract which I played no role in) telling me about a lot of 302 redirects that should be 301s on our site. This is my variation of if a tree falls in a forest idea. 9/3/2023 0 Comments Pvz gw2 top zombie quest

9/3/2023 0 Comments Psychological phenomenaNow that you've heard about Quiet Quitting which has mostly to do with employees, let's talk about something very interesting that has to do with your employers or bosses. So, I would like to conclude that no employer wants lackluster employees and think twice before you jump on a trend. And this gets reflected in bonus letters, where these quiet quitters are often sidelined. One can lack growth opportunities in the organization, which creates stagnation. And during appraisal, one can understand Newton's third law of motion about "action and reaction." So, ultimately, one gets only what's given. This thin line is noticed by reporting managers since there's a clear indication of a lack of effort & a fall in a person's productivity. It is healthy to switch off on weekends it is unhealthy to be non-flexible. But it is unhealthy to sign out at six, even if there is pending work. But it is unhealthy to duck at the site of work. It is healthy to not bite off more work than one can chew. There's a very thin line between setting healthy boundaries & being disengaged. Quiet Quitting comes with that risk! Hear me out before you dismiss this idea. But what happens if one loses the job for not being a good performer at work with great competition. Most of us work for a living, to pay off the bills, or for what we love to do. This trend has the potential to take a toll on one's life. Isn't it? Unfortunately, in practice, Quiet Quitting might just be the opposite. Signing in & out on time, having enough time for oneself and family, sleeping well, partying on weekends, & overall, working in a more sustainable way. They've dumped the idea of going the extra mile to achieve organizational goals, working extra hours to exceed their own targets, or taking work calls on weekends or after work hours.Īpparently, this sounds amazing for creating the perfect work-life balance. But Gen Z is embracing the idea of doing work for what they are paid for. That's all!įor the longest time, this is what one was told not to do at the workplace. Basically, doing only what one is hired for. Quiet Quitter lacks enthusiasm at the workplace & advocates signing in at 9 & signing out at 6 sharp. One does not propose new projects, share ideas, help others, mentor colleagues, or put efforts into team-building activities. If one's job is to lead a project, that's all that's being done. It is only about doing the work that is expected to be done. Quiet Quitting is about quitting the idea of going above and beyond one's KRAs (Key Result Areas). It does not involve silently resigning or slipping your resignation letter under your boss's door. This new workplace trend, which most of the associates prefer, is 'Quiet Quitting'. Every trend has its own good, bad, & ugly sides, and here we shall discuss most of them. Amidst the season of "layoffs," it's important to know these psychological phenomena that any of us are going through in our workplace but are not aware of being victims of ourselves or amidst the season of "war", phenomena that are being used by world leaders to run today's world politics. Though the words listed below are not new concepts, they are recent trends and topics for debate at the workplace or world place that I could compile for you. The Pinacoteca Comunale di Citta di Castello houses a work painted solely by Raphael. While Raphael’s time in Umbria was formative, only two locations in the region still house his art. Those paintings are today located in Florence, Milan, and Rome, as well as in other museums around the world. Raphael painted some of his most famous paintings during the time he spent in Umbria. Fragments of this work, heavily damaged by an earthquake in 1789, are today in museums in Brescia and Naples. It was during this time that Raphael received what some believe to be his first commission, the Baronci Altarpiece for the church of Sant’Agostino. Raphael earned the title of “master painting” while working in Umbria, mostly in the town of Città di Castello, between 14. Located in the Pinacoteca Comune of Città di Castello, this banner is considered by some to be the artist’s earliest known work Both sides of a processional banner believed to be painted by Raphael.Master painter Pietro Vannucci from Perugia, also known as Perugino, was Raphael’s mentor throughout his life. Some historians believe that this is when he went to work as an apprentice in nearby Umbria. The National Gallery of the Marches contains Raphael’s Portrait of a Young Woman (La Muta), a Mona Lisa-esque portrait that the artist painted at age 24. To see Raphael’s works in the town where he was born, you have to head to the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, located in the Ducal Palace where Raphael’s father once worked. La Muta by Raphael in the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche The museum has copies of his works on display and other artifacts connected to his life and Urbino during the late 15th century. You can visit the Casa Raffaello in Urbino to see where the artist was born. Birthplace of Raphael in Urbino / photo Vieni a Urbino So Raphael was exposed to art and wealthy patrons at a very young age. His father, Giovanni Santi, was the court painter for the Duke of Urbino. Use the Table of Contents above to skip around between cities and regions. But I have tried to piece together the Raphael story chronologically, where possible, so that readers can have a basic understanding of Raphael’s movements, life, and work. Very few of Raphael’s paintings remain in their original locations. When it reopened, there was such huge demand – both from Italians and those who are able to travel to Italy – that the Scuderie del Quirinale extended its run and hours. The Raphael exhibit was shut down almost as soon as it began because of the coronavirus pandemic. Paintings from the Uffizi Gallery in Florence “provide the backbone for the exhibition,” according to The Art Newspaper. Other paintings in the exhibit came from Italian museums, including from museums in Bologna, Brescia, and Naples. The exhibition included paintings from museums outside Italy, including the Louvre, the National Gallery of London, and the Prado. While many of his paintings were temporarily reunited in Rome for a huge show at the Scuderie del Quirinale. A few museums around the world, including in Berlin and London, celebrated the painter’s works with special exhibitions. April 6, 2020, marked 500 years since the death of Raffaello Sanzio, the man known simply as Raffaello or Raphael. |
